Ruby Lanet is an LA-based filmmaker who focuses on character-driven documentaries. Since receiving her BA in Film Studies at Wesleyan University, she’s worked in producing, archival, and research capactities at A24, Muck Media, Story Syndicate, RadicalMedia, SpringHill, National Geographic, and VICE. She most recently worked as an Associate Producer on an A24 film, Open Wide, which was directed by Sara Goldblatt and is now streaming on Netflix. 

Ruby is particularly interested in archival and verité focused non-fiction work that actively deals with the subjective nature of the medium. 

She is a proud WGA-E member and FWD:DOC member.
